Lots of people have heard about the concept of a circular economy, but may have difficulties to put it into practice. That’s what the transnational LEADER project “CIRCLE” of the Natur- & Geopark Mëllerdall and the cooperation partners in Finland and Sweden, is about. On a transnational level, the exchange of experience and knowledge about sustainable economic cycles is of primary importance. At regional level, the focus is on sensibilization and advice. Both, businesses and consumers, are to be made aware of the advantages of sustainable economic cycles. The project also includes practical advice for businesses on how to implement the principles of circular economy.
Due to the evolution of the Covid-19 pandemic, the cooperation partners decided to hold their conferences online. A first webinar was organised in October 2020; the second webinar, with best practise examples from Luxembourg and Finland took place on the 3rd of February 2021. Among the speakers was Carlo Hein, Founder and Managing Director of Ramborn, a local cider company. He presented the business philosophy and how they implemented the concept of circular economy.
